This blog replaces the 80s Daily blog that was published on Blogspot due to a number of issues, including the Google search engine having problems picking up posts from the blog, despite the blog being published with Google's own blog creator!
However, I will be porting many of the posts over to simplyeighties, so watch out for lots of new video pages in the coming months.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy viewing the 80s Heaven posts

The British-built Jupiter Ace home computer (1982) featured a built-in Forth programming language rather than the more popular BASIC seen in most other machines at the time. It used a Zylog Z80 processor and ran much faster than a ZX Spectrum, but had inferior monochrome graphics. Due to the unfamiliar Forth language and mono graphics the Ace never became popular and Jupiter Cantab went bankrupt the following year in November 1983.
