I bought the Cosmic Thing
album on cassette and have nothing to play it on now. It's probably
faded now anyway so I reckon it might be a good time to download it, as I used to play the
album a lot on my car stereo at the end of the 80s!
Roam was
the second single to be released from their 1989 album, Cosmic Thing
(in the UK) and reached No.17 in the UK singles chart in 1990. It peaked
at No.3 in the U.S.
Although the follow-up to "Love
Shack" was actually released in 1990, it was taken from the 1989 album
"Cosmic Thing", so it is officially an 80s tune!
Surprisingly, this only
reached No.17 in the UK, but it went down well in the clubs. It was one of only two tracks on the album not to feature Fred Schneider on vocals, the other track was an instrumental entitled Follow Your Bliss.
