On this page you will find a selection of the very best radio stations playing all the top music hits from the 80s. I have only included the decent ones as there were several that I came across that were badly in need of updating, very difficult to navigate or simply didn't work!

Absolute 80s is one of the coolest looking radio stations on the web and allows you to choose from the 80s, 90s, Noughties and more. The site features a very modern layout and is a breeze to use.  Click the image above to go to the eighties section.

Last FM - 80s Tag Radio Unlike any of the other stations listed here, 80s Tag Radio at Last FM also displays images relating to the artist playing. You can also add comments about the song playing and this appears to be a popular station judging by the number of comments. A nice, modern-looking site, although I did have to wait for almost half a minute before the station loaded.

Rediscover The 80s features a simple, clean layout (which is always a plus point with me) and is extremely easy to use. Just click on the play button on the player and hey presto! The track that was playing when I visited was Heart - Alone. Previous songs were by R.E.M., AC/DC, Pink Floyd, John Mellencamp and Genesis. The station is aimed at an American audience, but, of course, anyone can listen! Also check out the full Rediscover The 80s website.

The "Best of the 80s" section of Sky.FM. is well worth a visit, and there are a whole range of other stations to choose from, too. The site is very easy to use - just click the "Listen Now" button on the left-hand side of the site.

Shoutcast Radio is another top quality and simple to use site. Just click on the radio station listed in each genre and the station will play instantly in a pop-up at the bottom of your browser. There are lots of other genres besides the 80s, so this site is well worth a visit.

Three Ten Radio features hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s. It looks a little dated, but I like the fact that is uncluttered and easy to use. There are several player options including WINAMP, Real Player, Windows Media Player and other players. Not quite as instant as the other stations listed on this page as you have to wait for the chosen player to load, but this is useful if you prefer to listen to the radio using your favourite player.

Tune In features an excellent list of stations that you can instantly listen to. Just click the "Listen" button next to a station and it conveniently plays straight away in a pop-up, without leaving the page. You can also click on the station name which will take you to a separate page with further info about the station and a playlist with the opportunity to purchase each track.
