The very first video game that I ever played was Pong. This simple bat and ball game was released into the arcades by Atari in 1972, although it was later on in the 70s when I played it. I can't remember the exact year, but one Christmas I received a Binatone TV Master console which you plugged into the TV. The graphics were very crude, but it was still one of the most exciting Christmas presents that I had ever received. To be able to play a video game on the TV was nothing short of a miracle in my eyes.

Curveball is a 3D version of Pong and is also very simple to play. I was rather reluctant to play Curveball as I have seen many 3D versions of popular and classic games over the years that were pretty diabolical. However, after pasting the code onto this page and playing it, I was pleasantly surprised. The game actually plays very well and adds an extra dimension of challenge. I like the fact that the game looks very early 80s with its green screen style vector graphics. The programmer has managed to retain the simplicity of the original pong and I'm very glad that simple graphics were chosen, and no unnecessary additions have been added to the game. This is a no-nonsense, 3D game of Pong - pure and simple.
The game will not work on your mobile as it's been built with flash, but be sure to check it out next time you're on your computer.
How to play: Select "Start Game" to get started and then click the left mouse button to play. Move your paddle around with your mouse and hit the ball. If you find Level 1 boring and slow, then please keep playing as the game becomes progressively faster with each level - level 4 was perfect for me! Try and curve the ball to gain bonus points and rebound of the walls to try and outfox your computer component.
