The B-side on the UK 7" and 12" single featured the track "Tears Roll Down", which later featured on the 1999 reissue of The Seeds of Love album as the first of four bonus tracks. The US version of "Shout" featured as the third track on the 12" vinyl.
After the huge success of the second album Songs from the Bigchair during 1985, there was a gap of four years before The Seeds of Love was released! The album reached #1 in the UK and #8 in the U.S.  Production costs were reported to be over a £1million and the album was written largely by Orzabal along with keyboardist Nicky Holland.

Overall, Tears For Fears released three successful albums during the 80s. Their first album The Hurting was released in 1983 and made No.1 in the UK album charts and went Platinum (Gold in the U.S.)

Tears For Fears formed in 1981, after teenagers Roland Orzabel and Curt Smith met in their home city of Bath, England.
