Tears For Fears - Sowing The Seeds Of Love - Compact Disc Single



Released on August 22nd 1989, this was the first single to be lifted from the best-selling (Platinum), third studio album album The Seeds of Love, which was the follow-up to their 3 x Platinum album  (5x Platinum in the U.S.) Songs From The Big Chair.

The single reached #5 in the UK and #2 in the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S,

After the huge success of the second album Songs from the Bigchair during 1985, there was a gap of four years before The Seeds of Love was released! The album reached #1 in the UK and #8 in the U.S.  Production costs were reported to be over a £1million and the album was written largely by Orzabal along with keyboardist Nicky Holland.

Overall, Tears For Fears released three successful albums during the 80s. Their first album The Hurting was released in 1983 and made No.1 in the UK album charts and went Platinum (Gold in the U.S.)

Tears For Fears formed in 1981, after teenagers Roland Orzabel and Curt Smith met in their home city of Bath, England.
